New tricks

All day today, Zack seemed to be trying to get his right fist in his mouth. He's started sucking on the side of his hand, and then smearing his hand all over his face, hoping it will land in his mouth again. Tonight when I was rocking him in the bathroom (loud fan/whitenoise/colicky baby. don't ask.), he lucked out and ended up with his thumb in his mouth and really went to town, makingthese loud sucking noises. Later, he kept trying to make it happen again, but with no luck. The pediatrician has already characterized him as very oral - just wait until he figures out he can suck his thumb anytime he wants! It was exciting.
