New Wave

We travelled to Chicago over the weekend and spent time with Nathan's family. After weeks of trying to get Zack to wave, a woman waved at him on the plane and he waved right back. After that, he was waving at people all over Chicago...he got a foursome of older ladies inthe swimming pool all waving at him and then whenever he saw them again (in the hotel restaurant or elevator), they'd say "Hi, Smiles" and the waving would start all over again. Zack waved to people along Michigan avenue, in the Apple store, the Nordstrom's sale, the Weber Grill restaurant, and the airport. The plane ride home was touch for him - his ears hurt and he screamed for much of the flight. It was pretty stressful to watch that and not be able to do anything. The minute the plane landed and the cabin was de-pressurized, though, Zackie bursts out a smile and starts waving at people. Nathan said "Too late, buddy, you're not making any friends onthis flight" after 2 hours of screaming, but people came over and ooh'd and ahh'd over his cuteness anyway.
