The eating begins...film at 11

Zack had his first taste of solid food this morning! (Rice cereal mixed with formula) After reading endlessly about how to do this, and all the solutions for when the baby rejects the food, we tried him and he immediately took to it. Why are we so surprised that he's a good eater? It was pretty exciting.

On his first couple of tastes, he made an awful face, but he got the concept right away and swallowed the food. By the third spoonful, he was smiling, and by the fourth, he had grabbed onto the spoon with both hands. Just wait until he discovers that there are tastier foods than rice cereal.
