It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing

Ok, so everyone told us to get a swing - why did it take us so long to figure it out?
Zack has been pretty fussy lately, so today we had a big outing to Babies R Us, where we purchased the Papasan swing. It seems to be a very good thing. We put him in it, he fell asleep in under 30 seconds, and we immediately ran around to make phone calls, buy groceries, unload the dishwasher, etc. After spending the bulk of the day whispering to each other and tiptoeing around so as not to wake him, it 's pretty great to have a way to have him safe and content so that we can do things like his laundry and eating dinner. We put the swing on the first floor so that he can use it while we make food inthe kitchen and eat at the dining room table. (Before this, he had to be held in someone's arms, so we either had to take turns eating, or Nathan had almost perfected one-handed eating while cradling Zack on his chest). In any case, it's a good thing.

It's been cold and rainy for over a week now, but supposedly it will be warm and sunny on Wednesday. I'd love to take him out in the stroller and get some fresh air.
